This active group was set up in 2016 to replace the former FOSS group. It aims to bring the community together and to fund raise for the good of the school. The PTA has helped the school with:
Funding the cost of transport on school trips.
Providing books and resources.
Funding the cost of a variety of school initiatives: for example, costume hire, playground equipment, ICT equipment and so on.
Examples of PTA activities are:
'The Stoney Stomp' sponsored walk.
Carol and coffee evenings
School Fayres: Summer and Christmas
The key members of the PTA are:
Chair: Mr Phil Whelan
Vice Chair: Mrs Andrea Edmundson
Secretary: Mrs Karen Smith
Treasurer: Mrs Marjorie Charnley (Governor)
Meetings are announced via letter, the school website and through the 'Stoney Star' and new members are always welcome. Why not come along and make a difference?
We made over £900 from the Christmas Fayre, which
was a brilliant team effort.
This will be used to help fund school visits – and we are planning to use some of this to help develop the outside of the school by getting involved in the Forest Schools Project in 2017-
Thanks everyone for your efforts – and to those parents who attended Monday’s meeting.
