eSAFETY IN SCHOOL

eSafety lessons in school are undertaken. regularly This is an area that is of extreme importance in the technological age that we now live in. Children need to be taught how to stay safe.

Children have been made aware of a number of issues that may arise and how to deal with them. These include - giving out personal information on line, receiving emails/ text messages from unknown senders, checking whether Internet sources are reliable and cyber bullying (Bullying that takes place through text messages/ chat rooms/ instant messaging and social network sites).

The school Internet access is controlled through a  Web Content Filter.
Any unsuitable sites are immediately reported to the Headteacher and ICT technician and removed/reported.

The school has an E Safety Policy that can be found at the Policies & Procedures web page.

If you would like further information about E Safety and how you can keep your child safe online and on their mobile phone please contact Mrs Preston for a free CD ROM that gives you general information and advice.
